P&J Live, Aberdeen’s new exhibition and conference centre
The first digital Dimetra Express Tetra system was installed into P&J Live, Aberdeen’s new exhibition and conference centre. The system gives superior coverage across the full duplex operation including the subterranean halls. 126 hand portable radios will serve the needs of the arena for many years to come.
A new PCB interface developed by NET
A new PCB interface developed by NET allows different types of headsets and microphones to work with different radios/radio inputs. This intelligent solution solved a major problem for a major oil and gas operator with a FPSO in South Korea. The PCB was later adopted into NET’s own manufactured crane radio systems as standard.

Solution for Northern Ireland Power Stations
A major tender is won with power stations in Northern Ireland to design and install a system including digital Motorola radios, with broadband connection to each power station, including tracking of personnel and a safety facility for lone workers.

NET develops a critical communication system
NET develops a critical communication system to cover a pipeline production area of 7km in North Scotland, using Motorola base station and microwave links.
NET win a major frame agreement
NET win a major frame agreement with an oil and gas operator to supply communications for seven platforms. The contract has been reviewed annually ever since.
Soyo Liquid Natural Gas Plant, Angola
With our international business growing, we installed a 16-channel, 450-user radio system at a gas plant in Angola. The contract was awarded and the intrinsically safe system was designed, built and handed over in less than six months.
A first for marine communications
A first for marine communications, NET developed a now popular communication solution which allowed ships to talk to nearby vessels using their own UHF band and VHF band.
The Aberdeen Exhibition Centre
The Aberdeen exhibition centre had a history of poor radio communications due to the size of the venue. NET was able to separate out different user groups to work independently and together when needed. For the first time, the new NET system gave the entertainment venue complete radio coverage of the whole site with no blackspots.
Hazardous area repeater system
We always love a challenge, and when a major marine company asked us to provide a solution to allow people to communicate between the construction vessel deep inside the turret on a Floating Production and Storage Offloading vessel (FPSO) we developed and certified a hazardous area repeater system.
Manufacture of radio telephone link
With our portfolio expanding, NET was asked to manufacture a radio telephone link by a major oil and gas operator. This allowed the platform to talk in full duplex, wirelessly, to the drilling rig.

Bespoke order for explosion-proof VHF Marine Radio
Bespoke order for explosion-proof VHF Marine Radio for tanker loading at the Firth of Forth. This represented the first of many explosion-proof communication solutions for oil and gas operators working in a Zone 1 hazardous area.

With some clients now with us for almost 20 years, our hazardous audio kit business has grown. There are now 360 kits with over 100 out on hire at any one time, 365 days a year.
